Overview
CenterGrade App ("we", "our", or "the app") is a trading card centering measurement tool for iOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is handled.
All card image processing happens entirely on your device. The app includes third-party advertising through Google AdMob and anonymous usage analytics through Google Firebase Analytics, which may collect certain data as described below.
Data We Access
Camera and Photos
The app accesses your device camera and photo library solely to capture or select images of trading cards for centering analysis. Images are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded to any server.
Scan History
Card scan results (centering measurements and grade predictions) are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device.
Purchase Information
The app uses Apple's StoreKit framework to process in-app purchases. All purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information.
Advertising
CenterGrade App displays advertisements to free users through Google AdMob. The Google AdMob SDK may collect the following data:
- Device Identifiers: Advertising identifier (IDFA) if you grant tracking permission
- Coarse Location: Approximate location inferred from your IP address
- Usage Data: Ad interaction data such as impressions, taps, and views
- Crash Data: SDK stability and diagnostic information
This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
Premium (Pro) users do not see ads, and no advertising data is collected for those users.
Ad Tracking and Your Choices
The app will request your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt before allowing ad-related tracking. You can change this at any time in your device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by:
- Declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt
- Going to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and disabling tracking for CenterGrade App
- Going to Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising and turning off Personalized Ads
- Upgrading to Pro to remove all ads entirely
Analytics
CenterGrade App uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve the experience. Firebase Analytics collects the following data automatically:
- App Usage: Session duration, screen views, app opens, and feature usage
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, language, and screen size
- App Instance ID: An anonymous, randomly generated identifier unique to your app installation (not linked to your identity)
- Performance Data: App launch times and general performance metrics
This data is anonymous and aggregated — it is not linked to your identity and cannot be used to identify you personally. It is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
Analytics data is collected for all users (free and Pro) to help us improve the app. No personal information, card images, or scan results are included in analytics data.
Data We Do NOT Collect
CenterGrade App itself does not collect:
- No personal information (name, email, phone number)
- No account creation required
- No card images or scan results leave your device

Data Storage
All scan data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate any servers or cloud services. Deleting the app removes all associated scan data.
Children's Privacy
CenterGrade App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The Google AdMob SDK is configured to comply with applicable regulations.
Data Sharing
We do not collect or share your scan data. The Google AdMob SDK may share advertising-related data with Google and its advertising partners as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Premium (Pro) users are exempt from all advertising and associated data collection.
Your Rights
You maintain full control over your data:
- View, delete individual scans, or clear all scan history within the app
- Opt out of ad tracking at any time via device privacy settings
- Upgrade to Pro to eliminate all advertising and associated data collection
- Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
